PETITION DRIVE
As of July 11, 2022, the number of signatures for a Constitutional Amendment to the Michigan Constitution was 425,059.
The goal for signatures will be to exceed the required amount by 20 percent. This will leave no doubt as to validity.
The general minimum wage in Michigan was voted on by the Michigan legislature and is slated to be 15.00 an hour on Jan. 1, 2027.
There is no guarantee, if the legislature sees fit, to change or lower this amount.
A petition drive to put our proposed changes on the ballot will place the proposed changes into the Michigan Constitution and can only be changed by another vote of the people instead of changes by the legislature.
